Serenity roleplay

Charles heard Jack mention something about new tools, and was relieved to find that Jack would be paying for them himself out of his own money. "Damn right you are, Jack. I ain't gonna be able to keep buying stuff." He said briefly before Jack had actually come up to the cockpit, ready to go.

Then Johan had asked if he could come along and Charles nodded. "Yeah, everyone might as well go, the quicker we can get a job; the quicker we can get supplies and the quicker we can get off here and flying again." He said. Charles looked out of the windshield at the, somewhat bustling, port. There must be a job there for them somewhere, they just had to find it. "Alright, anybody who's coming, get ready and meet in the cargo hold in ten minutes." He ordered and walked off to his own quarters to get ready, only needing to grab his gun and trenchcoat, slipping it on as he walked.

After Charles confirmed it was time for Johan to get his stuff and move out to the cargo hold. First stop was his cabin. He entered it and scanning it carefully found his bolt gun and some credits (( future money if that's ok )) in the back pocket of his coat.
He got into the coat, putting the gun in the holster on the inside of it. He then went to the cargo hold.
Getting down the ladder, he jumped into the hold and asked the two that were there: "Are we ready to go or we waiting for someone else?"

Yanmei had watched the show of fire with a smirk on her face. She couldn't help being reminded of the time she had attempted to fly a shuttle herself. Needless to say, it didn't end well. She didn't pay much attention to the crew's conversation after that, her head still racing from the near death landing. She sighed at their engineer.
"As long as you don't spend three hours ranting to me about the tools you got..." She said over the com, then walked to the cargo bay, pistols already in her holsters. She let her hair out of the ponytail and tied it up tighter in anticipation.

As the ship had docked and the captain was going out job searching he was going to follow. "So we narrowly escaped death, are broke, and have a damaged ship. What else is new?" said Alex while checking to remember all the knives hidden on his body. Suddenly Alex began shaking and had put his hand on his face grabbing it while looking a bit terrified. He ran back to his medical bay and opened a cabinet. He took a small jar of pills and swallowed two. He started to stop shaking and took deep breaths. "One foolish aspiration, one foolish man..." whispered Alex to himself as he gathered a few medical supplies in case of need of first aid. He started walking up the stairs to the cargo bay.

Charles raised an eyebrow at Alex as he returned from running to the medical bay, but didn't say anything. He knew that people needed privacy, even members of his own crew, and he respected that. Hell, they didn't bug him about the war, after all. Checking his gun was loaded once again, Charles turned to the assortment of people that were his crew, his family almost, and began to speak. "Alright, now that everyone's here, we can get goin'. Everyone split up in groups, we got a better chance of findin' a job. Keep in radio contact and let me know if you find anythin'." He announced and then leaned back against the wall and let the crew decide amongst themselves who would go with who.

The Captain proposed that they split in groups. "Can I come with you Cap'?" Johan asked Charles.
His gun was behind his back, his money was in his pocket and he had a appetite for adventure. And there was always an adventure where Captain Charles was!

He stood next to the Captain, waiting for an reply.

Charles nodded. "Of course." He said. Charles thought that Johan was a good man, he wouldn't have hired him otherwise, and had proven himself to be useful and reliable to have on your side. "You got everythin' you need?" He asked the pilot, it wasn't that he didn't trust Johan to be prepared, it was just that it was better to be safe than sorry, especially in Charles' profession. Reminding himself of this, Charles checked that his radio was working, loosing contact with the crew would make life very difficult, especially if they happened to find a job and he couldn't let them know. Thankfully, it was working. Satisfied, Charles went back to leaning against the wall.
